FANKEENNA participated in the “Cinema Without Borders” workshop from November 28th to December 1st, 2022, which was hosted by DOCUBOX EA Film Fund in partnership with Movies That Matter and Impact Producer @helloayoo in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop was designed for film festival organisers in the Horn and East Africa regions, and the goal was to teach participants how to create an impactful human rights film festival.

Throughout the 4 days, we had the chance to hear from a variety of speakers who shared their experiences and insights on how to create a successful film festival.

Overall, the workshop was a fantastic experience, and we look forward to transform our learning into action and organise professional film screenings in the future in partnership with the organisers and the many amazing people we met.
